Classical, jazz, light music, early music and the rest - Benslow has something to offer all amateur musicians of whatever age or ability. Our year-round programme of residential and day music courses, summer music schools, seminars and concerts, given in a relaxed, friendly and uniquely supportive atmosphere inspires all who come.
Our highly renowned playing and singing courses are complemented by music appreciation courses and by our Saturday Study Afternoons, designed for anyone with any sort of interest in music.
Benslow ILS is an associated charity which lends high quality instruments to promising players under the age of 25 who are unable to obtain an instrument suitable to help them progress. You can make a difference to young musicians' lives by donating or lending an instrument to the charity or by making a financial gift.
The Benslow International Series of evening concerts regularly presents artists of the highest calibre, often in association with their visits to Benslow as tutors. Tickets are keenly priced.
Thanks to our association with the
(www.cavatina.net) those from 8 to 25 years of age may attend most of these concerts free of charge.
The Friends of Benslow Music Trust Monday Afternoon series - all tickets £7 - offers the chance to hear a wide range of local and younger performers.
Based at Little Benslow Hills in the attractive market town of Hitchin in Hertfordshire, the beautifully landscaped, serene campus is ideally equipped for the Trust's courses and concerts.
We also let our facilities to individuals and organisations for meetings, rehearsals, training courses, social functions and quiet retreats.
We hope that you will find this website helpful, and look forward to welcoming you at Benslow soon.
