Another opportunity for organ students of a wide range of abilities to play the magnificent, recently restored 1871 Walker organ in Hitchin’s parish church of St Mary, one of the finest examples of late English perpendicular style in the country. Alan Childs, the church’s organist, will help improve your interpretations of whatever pieces you choose to bring along. There may be visits to other notable organs in the vicinity, and participants get the chance to contribute to St Mary’s morning service if they so desire.
